Sail & Ski has become our favorite way to adventure.
You’ve been asking if we could organize something more budget-friendly – and the answer is: yes, we can!
We’ve turned our yacht into a floating hotel – for the price of a hostel.
Our base is in Finnsnes, where we stay for 7 days. We drive from Tromsø and each day we head out to a different mountain region – sometimes we even summit two peaks in one day.

If you’ve got the time – fly to Tromsø! 
Arriving early? Great – we’ll go for a local ski tour right away. Arriving in the evening? No problem – we’ll head straight to Finnsnes. You can also take the ferry – and enjoy the free jacuzzi on board!
Each day we choose different ski touring location!
On the way back to Tromsø, we might squeeze in one last ski tour – if conditions and time allow.
The map shows only one possible version of the route. The actual itinerary will depend on the weather conditions in the area at the time.

In winter, it's not really possible to climb high peaks – which is why heading to the Lofoten Islands isn’t the best idea.
Instead, it’s much better to focus on finding interesting hills – easy to reach, yet offering stunning views.
There’s always a chance to see the Northern Lights – but this month, we might need to rent a car and drive inland from the coast!
Try your hand at fishing – it’s the perfect place and time for it.
