Day 1
Check-in
Welcome to Alesund!

We are in a hurry this time - so if you want to explore the area please turn up early! If the weather is good, we can start sailing the same day.

Day 2 & 3
90-100 NM/ 20h of sailing
Molde & Kristiansund

The first day will still be cabotage. The crew will get to know the yacht and prepare before the longer sailing. In case of bad weather, 2 days will be spent in the coastal area. However, if the weather is good, we can speed up and move to the high seas.

Days 4&5
150NM/ 26h of sailing
Sailing to Rorvik

We assume 24 hours of non-stop sailing. We have 2 days for this. However, if the weather is good, we can extend the sailing - Rovik is the minimum plan!

Days 6 & 7
200Mm/ 24h żeglugi
Sailing to Bodo

The aim is to sail to Bodo - can we make the 200NM jump? Statistically the winds favour us, but sometimes we have to wait out storms. If conditions are unfavourable, we can escape under the shore and carry out day cabotage sailing.

Day 8
Check-out
Bodo

In the morning we catch a plane home!

The graphic shows one possibility of the route. The actual route depends on meteorological conditions. The exchange of crew between stages 1 and 2 can be done by air, ferry, bus. The return crew will cover the route in the other direction.

The map contains only one possibility of the cruise plan. The actual route depends on the weather conditions in the area at the time. The amount of time spent at sea depends on the willingness of the entire crew to sail, safety is supervised by the skipper - so it is up to him to make the final decision on the route.

Wintertime training cruise

There will be no shortage of sailing on this cruise. We have over 400NM to sail. The winds are statistically favourable, sometimes blowing 8B! In practice, we have 1 day to spare. The next two days can be used for cabotage sailing – we will complete the rest of the route on the high seas!

Voyages for students

Our cruises are also a mission – we remember what it’s like to study, have dreams of sailing and a low operating budget. On selected cruises for students, we maximise the price and help them gain an apprenticeship so that they can run their own cruises in the future (training packages on student cruises are free of charge). And that’s not all – with bareboat trips you can work off a berth, and on selected dedicated student fleet cruises you can sail as co skipper or skipper – bring your friends on board!

The Skipper’s training package

The best way to consolidate knowledge is to use it in practice. If you fancy additional training- you can purchase the basic training package. Before the cruise, you will receive a link to thematic lectures and practical tasks to do, in addition to meteo and navigation you will be introduced to the principles of voyage planning (according to the British RYA), safe navigation and Good Seamanship. On the cruise, the skipper will verify your knowledge – each day you will be responsible for a particular part of sailing (route preparation including emergency ports, navigating, handling meteo). After each day you will be reassigned and we will discuss the tasks together. The cost of the pre-course is 492 PLN/person (free for students).

The Tides Course

This time we are sailing in tidal waters – if you want this cruise can be a great tidal training for you. Before the cruise you will receive a link to online material and exercises – we will prepare you, and on the cruise the captain will check how you are doing in practice:

  • you will determine the high water time in port
  • plan your way around currents and tight passages
  • navigate without the use of GPS – an important part of the Yacht Master’s exam called Blind Navigation!

Pre-course cost 492PLN (free for students).

Fishing

Try your own hand at fishing, it’s the perfect place and time!

Our yacht - s/y Join Us

Bruce Roberts NY 46

Our steel monohull is in better condition every season. It is a small expedition yacht – however, it has excellent nautical properties and is therefore well worth the pleasure of sailing.
